Lowther-Rolton appointed by a major international Client to engineer lift studies for the removal and re-installation of Gas Turbine Rotors

Lowther-Rolton have been appointed by a major international Client in the power sector to engineer conceptual lift studies for the removal and re-installation of Gas Turbine Rotors at a multiple unit power generating plant, as part of the planned Spring 2016 outage. With restricted access and limiting ground conditions at the facility, L-R’s concept lifting proposals are required to establish a safe and optimal methodology for the lift plan, and later L-R are to undertake a Technical Audit of the contractor’s final engineering and planning.
